Tough Love and Care

If your group of tubers contains children between the ages of 10 to 15 years old, there is going to be one thing they want to do…… RACE.

Kids tend to turn tubing into a competition, seeing how fast they can paddle and if they can get down the river first. The problem is, the kids get detached from their parents and then get to Little Beach first, while parents stress about where they are. We have even had kids get on the bus and wait for their parents to get back to the town, with the parents unaware of where they are. The first thought of parents is, “our child missed the beach and is floating down the river,” which is very rarely the case.

Here is the golden rule. Keep your kids behind you when tubing! We would even recommend that at least one parent rents a swift tube so if the kid starts racing, the parent can chase.
