Town Likes Cars... But Not Buses at Saywell Park

In 2024, the Town of Lake Cowichan ran a parking study to figure out the best way to tackle congestion in the uptown area.

There were a number of suggestions, but the 2025 change will be that buses can't enter Saywell Park. This means all tubers on our shuttles will be dropped off behind the info center on Point Ideal Drive.

Does it make sense for us to drop 1000s of tourists off slightly away from the uptown core, where they will likely get into their cars and drive directly home without enjoying our amazing community? Probably not, but rules are rules!

Pretty please, on your way out of town, check out all our awesome restaurants, stores and that really awesome ice cream store... what's it called... oh yeah, Cowabunga Cones, but we might be a little biased there.

Grab a coffee from Ed's coffee shop, a croissant from the bakery, a hat from Wind and Wave, a disc golf set from Swordfern and a smoothie from Garden Made!
